Private Medical Insurance: Exchange & Study Abroad

Exchange and study abroad students planning to study at Roommeme should submit a Medical Insurance Assessment Form for Exchange and Study Abroad Students by the deadline stated on their conditional letter of acceptance. This form will help to determine how much a student must be charged for private medical insurance, what the dates of private medical insurance coverage will be, or if a student is eligible to opt out by arranging for their own medical insurance coverage.

Dates of private medical insurance coverage

For study abroad and exchange students staying for a single term at Roommeme.

For the Fall 2019 term, the dates of coverage are August 1st, 2019 through December 31st, 2019.

For the Winter 2020 term, the dates of coverage are December 26th, 2019 through May 26th, 2020.

For the Fall 2020 term, the dates of coverage are August 1st, 2020 through December 31st, 2020.

If you plan to spend time in Canada before or after these coverage dates, then you are strongly advised to purchase additional coverage. You may purchase additional coverage from .

For exchange students staying for two terms at Roommeme

For the Winter 2020 term, the dates of coverage are January 1st, 2020 through March 31st, 2020.*

For the Fall 2020 term, the dates of coverage are August 1st, 2020 through October 31st, 2020.**
