This course provides students with baseline theoretical knowledge for diagnosing and treating various sexually transmitted infections (STIs). Students will apply the theory learned to the development of clinical skills, within the scope of certified nursing practice, with clients experiencing or at risk for STIs. Comprehensive assessment integrates history or present illness and review of systems into the sexual history when appropriate.
