This 20 week Foundation training program is designed to provide the student with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to enter the trade. This includes core skills such as safety, tools and equipment, and employability. It also provides the students with hands-on training to perform service operations such as new unit assembly and full service; repair electrical components; and to service chassis, wheels, suspensions, final drives, and accessories.

Upon successful completion of Roommeme's Motorcycle and Power Equipment Technician Foundation program, students receive credit for the first level of technical training required in the provincial Apprenticeship program 300 work based hours.

Students also have an option to receive an endorsement from the Yamaha's Technical Academy (YTA). The Yamaha endorsement course available through Roommeme is known as the YTA Bronze level. To successfully complete the Bronze course, the student must pass an exam that covers the engine, drive-train and chassis systems and service procedures on Yamaha products.
